May 8, 2005 Rock the Rez Fund Raiser
We hosted our first fundraiser of 2005 with a musical concert “Rock the Rez” which was held at the Last Concert Café in Houston. Musical guests included Horehound, Benny Q and the Nite Crew, Simple & Hammer, kayumanggi and Bonsfire. It was a beautiful summer day and a great time was had by all. Monies raised enabled us to fund two grocery store credit accounts in White River for the benefit of one of the Lakota ceremonial singers and his family and an elderly woman in Mission, near Rosebud.

July 2005 Food Drive and Delivery
Beginning in the Spring of 2005 , we started started collecting donations of food, diapers, tooth paste, shampoo, etc.
We loaded the boxes into a flat bed trailer and hit the road. We were able to get the supplies delivered the next day, to the community of White River, South Dakota.
I would like to thank all the folks who donated, packed the boxes, and assisted loading the trailer.

December 2005 Clothes and Food Drive and Delivery
First, I want to thank everyone who made this year possible. We were able to transport one 24' x 12' x 8' and one 12' x 6' x 6' trailers, which were filled to the top with food, clothes, blankets, diapers, etc. This is by far the best year we have had yet. We had more participants in the gathering and loading of the trailers than we have had thus far and I would like to thank everyone who contributed to make this happen.

We left out early December 26th and arrived in the early morning hours of the 27th. We unloaded the 24' trailer in Rosebud and then went on to White River with the 12' trailer for delivery. We again received hospitality and lodging from the Whitehorse family, which we are always grateful to receive. Stories, laughter and eating passed the time until we had to make our journey back to Texas. This is definitely a year we will remember with all of the new people we were able to meet along the way.

August 2005 School Supplies
This August, 6 boxes of school supplies were sent to the White River and Rosebud communities. We want to thank all the folks who donated and in getting these supplies packed and shipped and personally delivered.
