Canteyuke, Inc., is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, and educational purposes, including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
The corporation works for relief of the poor, the distressed and underprivileged residents of the Rosebud Reserve, South Dakota, yet is not restricted to this reserve, in order to keep the traditions of the Lakota people alive. We hope that through our efforts, we will be able to aide those who continue to live the traditional life, so together, we can help eliminate some of the community discord caused by poverty.
Our goal, is to provide assistance, so that there is hope for a better tomorrow. We aim to accomplish this through supplies, food and clothing as well as providing the community the necessary tools, so the generations to come have the knowledge they need to make a change, while still living the traditional life their ancestors have handed down to them.
